Articles and artifacts from Sidney Wallach's personal art collection are included in the estate of Rosanne Stein, Wallach's daughter, at the time of her death in 2023. Stein is survived by her two sons to whom she bequeathed works from her father's art collection. The Stein family seeks a valuation of artworks attributed to Marcel Duchamp, Salvador Dali, Alexander Calder, et. al., as well as further information on the status of various antiquities, books and documents in Rosanne Stein's estate.
While I initially visited Rosanne's home to look at two works of art, those attributed to Salvador Dali and Man Ray, the visit uncovered additional pieces by Calder and Duchamp. It's possible that more works of art from The American Chess Foundation's extensive art collection remain with the estate.
Yet even if this is not the case, a considerable amount of collection data cites Sidney Wallach and/or The American Chess Foundation as a source of its provenance. Numerous artist's exhibition histories also reference shows organized by the Chess Foundation.

Marcel Duchamp began the Marcel Duchamp Fund of the American Chess Foundation in collaboration with the philanthropist and public affairs consultant, Sidney Wallach, as a charity to support American chess players.
