They can be expected to take a 10-15% cut from hammer price as well as any additional service fees. They may recommend listing the work for auction online.
Pro's: the auction house will handle the finer details of a secondary market sale and valuation on consignment
Con's: the auction house will foreseeably want to be working with a discrete collection.
